TAI-VW is happy to be spreading the news about our most recent build in progress, which will be a Mk4 Jetta GLI upgraded from a Gt2871R setup to a larger GT3076R turbo. The previous setup made 363whp and unfortunately had a rod let go 30K miles later,so this time the owner decided to go al out and build up a stronger motot with Integrated Engineering forged connecting rods, new pistoin rings/gaskets & bearings as well as port & polish work done to the cylinder head.
With this larger turbo and some fueling/ECU modificatons we are hoping to meet/exceed 450whp (oer 500bhp from a 1.8l engine!) and keep the car a daily driver street ride.Keep checking for updates!
Peter’s car started out as a very successfully tuned Mk5 GTI with REVO stage 2 software,Forge twintercooler,ATP 3″ intake/dierter valve bypass system,ATP 3″ DOWNPIPE and custom fabricated 3″ full Borla exhaust system, fabbed at TAI-VW & Audi. This car made great power on the dyno at 253whp & 307 ft.lbs. of torque.
Peter was very happy with this performance, however he wanted something special and we came upon a big turbo solution for him.
